Who is riding on what?

Whats up Ladies and Gentlemen..

I'm wondering what type of suspension your riding on, (springs and struts size of wheels) how much it lowers your car and how is the ride and stiffness...

Thanks

Evan

86 GXL still on stock springs and struts w/ 18inch wheels wrapped with 225's and no PS = P. The ride is as stiff as it ever was, but Im starting to get funny creeking noises.

On the 87 n/a, Im running:

KYB AGX shocks
Eibach Prokit springs
GXL swaybars
BBS vert rims
225/50/15 Yokohama AVS ES100s
Manual steering rack

Ride is stiff, but very streetable. Tires provide good traction for spirited driving and racing. Car is very responsive, but sometimes the wheels like to wander with the bumps in the road. Good road feel with the manual rack.

On the AE:

Tokico 5-way adj. shocks
Eibach prokit
Konig Imagines 17"
225/45/17 Kuhmo 712s
PS

I just got this car and havent abused it too much, but it seems very stable and responsive. Shocks are stiffer than the KYBs in my opinion, but are only adjustable from the top, so the back ones aren't fun to change.

Eibach prokit springs (lowered 0.8in.)
KYB GR-2 Struts on front with KYB Gas Shocks on rear
Front and rear suspension techniques sway bars
16" Primax 684 wheels (17 lbs)
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 225/50ZR16 Tires
No PS

Ride is stiff but good.. the tires grip like NO other in dry and wet road and the handling is awesome. Having no ps isn't a big deal at all either

This is all on a 1988 GXL

JIC FLT-A2s all around
Eibach Sway Bars
Groud Control Rear Camber Link
Racing Beat front strut bar

Soon I'm going to round things out with a Cusco carbon fiber rear strut bar (rear end too soft right now).

Do you have pictures of your car with the Borbets on? They seem like decent wheels, and I think they'd look good on an FC.

KYB AGx shocks (3 in the front and 4 in the rear stiffness)
Eiback Prokit
stock s5 TII wheels
yokohama avs es 100 225/50/16

city driving is pretty bearable but anything higher might be too stiff.

Stock worn out shocks, it feels like my rear squats over a foot when I go WOT.

Does anyone have the GC's on a FC, or any comments on them?

I know what AE you are talking about, it's been built to abuse. Enjoy it, just don't kill yourself
