One of the standard Japanese OEM suppliers. Nothing special... not anything fancy like Recaro or Momo

hmmm...I was just looking at some of them and they look identicle to the recaros in my Porsche. How come 80's Supra's and Hondas got recaros and FC's didn't? (<-rhetorical question)

Yeah I had a RA64 Celica (GT-S) that had the OEM Recaros...

Because the Recaro seat package in the RA and MA Toyota's was an $1000 option package back in '82-84.

And I have never ever seen a Honda come with a Recaro from the factory. A couple of the 'ludes came with Recaro knock offs, but anyone that looked at the frame, could see that they were not real Recaros.

The CRX Si's had a recaro package, and a couple other rare examples. It wasn't something all too common. Toyota seemed to make the biggest play off recaros. Type R's have them, but they're a little more recent. I just always thought it was odd...

I can tell you I'm trying to find a way to mount either my 944 Recaros in a seven or M3 Vaders....

Both very very heavy seats... I would think twice on that one

My 944's are all manual......they weigh the same as FC base model seats (I checked). The 944 came with a power driver's seat...I have a couple of pass. side seats. They're very comfortable.

Vader seats are stupid heavy...they weigh more than my MKIII's seats...

I was never really impressed with the 944 seats, (not enough side support on either the bottom or the top), but as with all 84+ Porsche seats I would think they would bolt in to just about anything.

I was not aware that the passenger seats were manual... I guess all the 944's I was in, I was only the driver.

Yeah...the base 944's only had a power driver's seat. I'm not all that impressed in them over what I can find in a GTU or something...but they're a lot better than what's in base model S4's and such.
