You must have some poor suspension, or plan to attend auto-cross events. Why spend the extra money if the car is for the street and the suspension is operating properly. I find the stock TII suspension works quite well, especially if larger tires are added to counteract the understeer, plowing condition.

Stock here...

Had a chance to drive a 240 with some body lightning, and alot of suspension work... wow... I thought my car handled good!!!!

After the supercharger, suspension is my number one priority.

Stock GXL suspension. Like someone said above, feels like it's on rails after my dad's VW Cabrio. No complaints, and no plans to upgrade.

I've been focusing on maximizing the cars handling before trying to boost power. From what I understand NA FC's aren't much good for it. The drivetrain is too weak. Turbo cars would be a better all around project but after driving around a NA 280 ZX which have the same powertrain as a turbo ZX I can see why the NA FC's can take advantage of weight savings to do best with what they have. An NA car with a well set up suspension should be just as fast as a turbo on a touge course. In my opinion I think its best to enhance a cars strengths before its weaknesses. So far I've added ground control height-adjustable springs, Mazdatrix on-car-adjustable rear camber links, 55 series tires, Energy Suspension busings and Racing Beat rear-toe-elliminators. Compared to the feeling of the stock setup its a vast improvement. The car inspires more confidence because it's more predictable at the limit. There is none of that floaty unsettled feeling anymore. I'm not saying it couldn't get better. I want to upgrade the struts, swabars and sway bar endlinks before I move on to engine upgrades.

I had all stock suspension on my NA...My TII, on the other hand, is fitted with Tokico 5-way, mazdatrix springs and sway bars.....next is the bushings and strut tower brace. My TII is really on rails!

Any advice for less body roll w/o messing wit the shocks ??
You have to remember that if you add thicker sway bars and your struts are junk on the car then all you're going to be doing is transfering weight to crappy struts even faster resulting in the same amount of body roll (or close), u'r just going to get the body roll a little faster now.

It will however make the car feel a little better by responding to your movements faster. I don't know the ideal sway bar combinations of these cars yet, so I can't make a suggestion on what setup to use. I'm sure someone will chime in on this.

If you are short on money and you want to build up a suspension, I would definatly upgrade sway bars or at least the bushings, but don't neglect your struts or springs.
