What did you do with the wheels that were on the car? Do you still have them?

And yes - why is it out in the snow?

Kabooski ran an 11.78 or something (it's in his sig). 87GTR has been in the 11's I'm almost positive, and that was with his old motor and setup.

I talk to Reese occasionally and he rode in my car at 7 psi at sevenstock... He's afraid LOL

1/4 mile times VS dyno numbers is an incredibly subjective measure of HP numbers. Course this IS a thread about who is fastest. We have not been able to get CARX7's car to the track, and it would be a complete waste of time anyways till he gets some slicks. That car cant hold traction in 1st, second or third.

I ran 11.6 @ 115 on the old motor. we have not had time to make a 1/4 run on the new setup. the track should out up again next month and will be looking to move up into the 10's daily driven street car

Chris "Speed" Anderson has a 13B-REW motor in his T2 with Jericho 4speed (maybe a Richmond) and solid rear end out back with ladder bars. On a 26x10.5" tire he has run a 9.20@150mph at 2600lbs I think. Not sure if this is with NOS or not.

His car pulls the front wheels off of the ground during launch.

He is probably the top dog for a streetable car that is a T2.

Ya i still have the other rims in the garage...Im going to be selling them. I never really liked 18's and have no real use for them since i have the GramLights.... Rims are in perfect condition, and the tries are brand new....18x9 rear / 18x8 front with Yokohomas ES100 225/45/18 front and 265/40/18 rear.... Im going to ask brian what he bough them for and take it from there but offers are welcome...

I know Ian (Blue TII) would give me a run for my money.

There are certainly others...

That is crazy talk! My goal was 300RWHP and now it is most HP on "stock" turbo.

carx7: you think Ian is nearly as fast as you?
Heh, that's good. I am pleased to hear that.

No way!

Does BLUE TII have any numbers posted?

Nope, I never got my boost creep under control, so no dyno tune.

no. i'll dyno my car before he dynos his. but we have almost the same setup (BNR Stage IV)

He spins his tires at 6000rpm in third. That's the benchmark i'm going by.

Yep.

I'm sure Ian's car is plenty fast. As J-Rat said, peak power isn't necessarily a winner and I know Ian has terriffic spool... I was trying to find numbers on that... I'd actually like to see some datalog comparisons of that... but that's another post.

I wish I would have saved some data logs. When I get it running w/ the new clipped "P" trim in the hybrid it would be cool to see how the spool compares to the clipped "O" trim wheel. I will keep the stock hybrid from boost creeping eventually... Then it is on to the VGT turbo from the Powerstroke 6 liter I just got. That thing is a beast.

I was wondering what sort of tires width/brand and age etc is Ian running?

They were fresh 225/50 Yokohama A520 (180 treadwear) on 8" wide rim. It held 3rd gear OK going straight on the freeway, it was just if it was cold out or the freeway had a bend in it the rear stepped out. 1st and 2nd were a joke as far as traction, 3rd was a sometimes...

Ian's car is slower than my 86 base right now if im not correct He was working on his motor last time i checked.

Yeah, it is as fast as I can push it. Engine is at Pineapple for warranty work. After cracking the rear plate (Walbro couldn't supply enough fuel) I found out the plate was not the '89+ plate it was supposed to be. So far I am very happy w/ how the Pineapple ran and Rob's customer service- just need all the right parts ..

I was basing my comments on a couple of things that I had read and comared them to my own experiences. I'll need to have a conversation with Ian offline about the spool characteristics. I've been trying to compare them to my setup but there are little comments here and there about it... that's why I figured some datalogs would be really nice.

As for being fast I was trying to guesstimate power based on the tire spinning comments... which I why I asked about what he was running. I see the same traction issue with my car so I figured roughly the same power.... then it occured to me the difference in tires and that's where it is. I'm running 255 in the rear and that is useless in 1st, and near the top of second. When I'm running 19psi the rear steps out in 3rd as well.

Anyway, perhaps I'll get my car to the track in the next month or so.

3 rotor with a t72 at 14psi and he's ONLY making 440 at the rear wheels?

That's a lot of money for something that can be accomplished on a 13BT.

Banzai, thanks for throwing me into all of this.

I'm not the fastest, but I'm looking to be up there on the list. My run (12.5 @ 114 mph) was @ 12psi on a Garrett 60-1. Kumho 712 tires. Crappy driver behind the wheel. (raising hand)

Chris, bite me. I'm not scared. . .I'm respectful. LOL

thats what i was thinking myself...440rwhp @14psi on a 20b isnt much of an acomplishment

One of my friends made 480rwhp on a 13bREW with a T78 @13psi

Thanks for finally coming out and posting Reese! It's exciting for me to hear about some of these cars and how fast they are, and to finally realize that I've ridden in one. Obviously not the fastest, but one that's damn quick, and who'll get up there I'm sure. Okay this changes my perspective maybe I'll start working on Reese's car more than mine.

I don't get into numbers much, but I'm pushing 500rwhp @ 20-22psi. I have a real great tuner from Chicago thats responsible for the "Nth"-tuning. I need to re-dial in the car with the FD manifold, and Spring is right around the corner ... I have 275's and the traction is real nice for that amount of hp... We'll see.

We have at least one timeslip Reese's 12.5. If you want a picture of the slip I'm sure he could work one up, but that is the official time. I'm sure everyone else will have some soon, it's just this winter crap, that inhibits most of us from being able to make runs.

Well, I can post a 14.6 timeslip from last year when the car was mostly stock! That makes me the 2nd fastest!!
