Yes competition is a good thing. You guys will have to succome to the pp12a though. The 12a's in this form usualy come within 10hp of there 13b brotheren, and ues this motor is in an rx3 that is about 500 lbs lighter than you guys, So who wants to play? hhehe its all good and i hope more people start showing interest in us becuase those turbo guys are going to learn some hard lessons...

Who, us ?

Tell you what, I'll even put a brick under my gas pedal, in order to reduce the travel of the pedal

Also, i think that for the guys using the factory ecu and stuff...it is possiable to bottom out the factory 89-91 maf sensor wich will limit you to about 200flywheel hp. Anything above 7k rpms, and my readings won't go any higher....not to mention, the max air flow % reads the same as on the s-afc, if you where to redline it...or if you where to push the plunger all the way down. I need to invest some time in a larger maf sensor search. CJ

Question. If you are running nitrous oxide, is it still a n/a?? I dont think it would still be naturally aspirated with nitrous.

Why would'nt it be still a n/a? If a motor is still seing negitive intake manifold pressure....it still would be naturally aspirated. Its not until you see positive manifold pressure would it become forced induction. Atleast thats my thoughts. CJ

Ive been meaning to look into it myself, but what about a S5 TII MAF? I know a TII will run with a n/a MAF, so I think its definately worth a try. My MAF bottoms out at around 7K rpm too. I have numerous sensors tapped into so I can check their readings while in the car with a volt meter.

i think every modded na has pretty much the same **** done to them. It would probably come down to whose lighter. I hope this doesn't turn into 1/4 mile times though. thats killed.

How much power is that peripheral port engine pumping. i am extremely interested in one of those bad boys.

I had about 20k miles on it when i decided to sell it. The reason i decided to sell it, was i was getting married, and did'nt need 3 Rx-7s. (Two 90s, and a 3rd gen) Not to mention, i did'nt need two go-fast cars that sucked all my money (The 3rd gen and peripheral 90.)

As of right now the 13B pp, i believe that a guy named Blake on this forum has. It was going to be at the 2002 challenge, but the U-haul they had borrowed from a friend, engine let go on the way there....so it should be there for the 2003.

I do have a dyno sheet for it....but need a digital cammera. And time slips. I'm saving for a p-fc, then a new cat back, some larger injectors...then maybe some...so you see...there is never enough $$ laying around for a digital cammera. I was told to expect about 50k miles on it, before the apex seals became to short. Not height, but length. CJ

There is nothing streetable about a PP engine. it is EXTREMELY Loud, It will not idle below 1800-2000 RPM, It has no usable Low end power or torque, and It NEEDS to run open exhaust.

Also, a nitrous engine is not an N/A. There may not be a rise in pressure in the intake manifold, but there sure is inside the chambers. It is a different form of forced Induction.

as for answering the thread, the fastest N/A rotary time in the 1/4 that I know of was 9.64 sec. done by Bam bam Miata from puerto rico. it was a PP 13B fuel injected. It now runs a 13B PP and NOS and is running 8.33 in the 1/4.

I'll be building a 13b bridge ported carby next year with my T2 tranny, driveshaft and rearend. I'm hoping for around 300 to the wheels, but 275 is more realistic.
