Stock boost FTW!

I had the CorkSport exhaust on my GXL. Very light and very nice looking exhaust.
With the Stock cats, it was perfectly tolerable at all RPM and Throttle openings. Great Sound.
With a straight pipe and no silencer, it was extremely loud, and at highway speed would give you a headache. Had a deep tone, but I'm surprised I never got pulled over for the sound level. Would emit a 2 foot white hot flame from the muffler shifting into 4th at redline
With a straight pipe and the silencer, it was tolerable, but the performance suffered and the sound quality was poor. No flames
With a Magnaflow 6" round straight through muffler in the "cat delete pipe," and no silencer, it was nearly perfect as far as volume and sound is concerned. Flames again!
It took me a couple tries to get it how I liked it Then, I got my TII and sold the car.
I would imagine that with a "cat delete pipe" or "race pipe," and adding a high flow cat, it would be about the same volume as the second muffler I put in. And it would be almost emissions legal.

Magnaflow all the way in my opinion. If you can delete your cat put a similar sized magnaflow in place and use stock sized magnaflows throughout the exhaust system. Their warranty is great and you can't beat the price for something that sounds as good and lasts as long.

I'll probably still have the CS on my car at Sevenstock.
The catback is loud in NA or TII form.
THe silencer does it's job but at the sacrifice of making the exhaust more restricted than stock. It's like a 1.5 inch outlet.
I only use it when I want to be courteous at night or if I'm going to be doing somethign devious and don't want people hearing me.
