Who else has painted there block .. I'm stuck on colors
I have a black S5 vert doing a t2 swap and I was asked what color I want the block painted ... I have no idea right now?
I have a few options I'm thinking of
1. Blue that has a purplish hue to it
2. Maybe tein green? idk
I'd love to do it black .. but like my freind mentioned .. if i have an oil leak i would not be able to tell easilly at all
and can you post pics if you have them?

I would go with the darkest colors you could possibly live with. The lighter colors will fade much faster, and polished would be..basically impossible to keep looking clean very long.
I'd go with the newest Kevin Lander's colors - Gloss Black, and a Charchol-ish gray.

mine is black on black with black everything..th IC piping was supposed to be black too,but they shipped the wrong color and i have no patience after waiting a month for it,but i digress, oil is easily visible when it leaks no matter what color your motor is,you still get drips in the driveway!

In fact I'll be painting the Insight in the same colour scheme as the RX-7 as soon as I get a chance...
The MetalCast is holding up well though. Heat doesn't seem to be an issue with it and it's resistant to oil as well. Doesn't like brake cleaner or degreaser much so it's important to keep the engine clean so that it can just be wiped down with dish soap...Not as much of a pain as it sounds like.
it really depends on what you want.. if you want the block to stand out.... a bright vibrant color is best... either blue or red in my opinion
but if you want it to just be clean looking.. id say black and gunmetal....

i like red/ black... here's a 3rotor we built that we powdercoated the housings red and used vht black on the plates. i took the pic with my phone so the red doesn't pop as much in this picture. overall we usually paint the housings aluminum coat and the plates cast iron coat unless otherwise specified by the customer. the colour options are endless tho man hahaha
