White smoke after run

I have an 88 TII and I removed the air pump. I noticed that the engine is revs more freely this way. Well, when I drive the car normal, I get no smoke, but when I do a hard run in second or any gear and I let off the throttle, I get a delayed cloud of white smoke for about a good 3 seconds and then it stops. I cleaned the engine with gunk and castrol super clean and was wondering if the remaining product could just be burning off or is it related to something else? Before I took the air pump off, I had NO smoke. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Do you still have your cats on?

The air pump helps make the cats hotter to help burn up the ****, and thats why you never saw it before.
