Ok like everyone said taking the UIM off took about 15 minutes to do. So I replaced the PD with a Banjo bolt. So far so good. not leaks or smells from what I could see. And I ran it pretty hard. I also while I had it off sprayed GUMOUT Carb cleaner in the intake sides. IT took forever to get the car started. But finally when she did start she pulls harder , idles better , starts right up.

The only thing i noticed and perhaps this has been but I just noticed it more, there is a whining noise coming from the block.not from teh side but from the front I think or the top of the inatek. I am not really sure. Its pretty loud though. Any one have any ideas to what it could be? I was thinking perhaps the WATERPUMP needs to be replaced. From what I was told thats a signe on other cars. Any input?

Well if it's coming from the intake, I hear that the PD is suppose to keep the injectors quiter (hayes)...maybe you are hearing results of no PD in place. Usually its more of a tapping noise, but who knows..just a thought.

 

Did you shoot carb cleaner to somewhere you're not supposed to?
Like on the pulleys / belts / alternator?
