while working on my FC i ran into some things...
as the title says
#1 im not exactly shure if its my headlight switch but when you turn on the headlights the lights will go up but not turn on and will work on high beams only..
#2 it seems that i have no ABS is there anyway to get it back or something?? here in miami driving in the rain is scary ive had some close encounters with my step moms ford focus with doesnt have ABS..
#3 there is some minor rust on the subfram what can i do about this looks like the previous owner threw bondo over it to cover it up.. what can i do about this? and i was thinking about some crap there called cross stitching or something to that effect...
thats about it right now if i run into anything else ill post ive overlooked the car already changed oil,new wires, new splarkplugs stuff like that..
any info would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks

1) you sure your low beams aren't just burnt out? Also could be the dimmer relay...
2) don't know
3) minor rust can be sanded, then the area topcoated with something to prevent further rusting
4) oil pan is kinda fun to replace with the engine in the car, but it's doable. You can use RTV, instead of a gasket, for a more "pliable" bond

#1 it's doing as it's supposed to, for cleaning them, fixing etc... also good for winter to keep them up so they don't freeze shut (you won't have that prob), high beams are ftp.
Hmm I assumed all fc's had this switch?

Yeah, Are you using the right headlight switch? one makes them go up and down. and another makes them go up and down, and turn on while theyre up. are your running lights on when you turn the switch you're turning.

The 2nd gen ABS unit was an early design with a slow (2-3Hz) pulse rate.
I can pump the brakes that fast.
Also it sits right above the turbo & tends to leak after 100000 miles.
Also it's expensive to replace.
I pulled mine.
