wheres this go (vaccum line)

Hey everyone I need someone who is positive on where this vaccum line goes. I recently replaced a peice of fule hose and during the process of removing the vaccum line 2 of them broke. I fixed 1 but the one in the middle I cant get to. My car wont start I've tried everyhting short of the atf trick and pulling the car to start it. Is it flooded really bad or could it be something else. The plugs did have a bit of oil them. I've tried the searches but havent had luck. Thanks for you help everyone

The middle one goes to the fuel injector air bleed nipple. Its located on the intake manifold, just opposite the two primary injectors. Metal nipple. Sticks straight up in the air.

The bottom hose should be going to a metal line just below the three nipples in your picture. That line goes to the left side of the engine to feed the vacuum pipes/solenoids.

No, that line off should not stop the car from running/idling. Sometimes that accidental swapping of the two small lines will give an irregular idle, but the car will still start.

Does the car make any sign of wanting to start??

And what happened to the car since the last time it did start????

If no spark is suspected, check the ENGINE fuse in the crew compartment. Gotta have a good one for starting.

Then check the fuses in the engine bay.

A large hose off would cause it not to start. Like the one that connects to the large inlet duct to the dynamic chamber. The one about a half foot from where the inlet duct connects to the throttle body. On a 87 it's about a inch in dia. Probably not that though.

The rectangular plug on the AFM connected? Rectangular in shape and on the radiator side of the AFM?

I'd check to see if there are good fuses etc before running the battery down, and even worse, running the starter out.

If you have a meter, see if there is 12v on the small white plug that goes to the LEAD coil assy. Small, white, two wire plug. Black/yellow wire should have 12v. The other wire is indeterminate so don't mess with it. That 12v or the lack of it gives you a starting place. If you have 12v on the black/yellow you know the fuses are good and voltage is available and that maybe you need to look elsewhere for the problem.

Non starting cars are hard to figure out without being there. Just guesses.

Maybe it's just flooded. That makes a car a son of a gun to start. WAshes the oil away from the seals and gives low compression etc. til it starts again.

Thanks alot Hailers. I've been doing unflooding procedures for a week or more. I came out one morning and started my car and it wouldnt hold idle then it died. I noticed that a fuel hose was spraying all over my engine. The one just behind the alternator wedged between the upper and lower intake manifold. I go to replace it and disconnect the vaccum hoses and 2 of them break. I fixed 1 and cant get the other. My car sounds like it gets to the point where it wants to turn over but then it just goes blugh. Thanks for the help

Classic sound of severe flooding. Lucky you on finding the fuel leak before it caught fire.

Push shove sounds good. Make sure the battery is up good and you leave nothing disconnected if you do that.

If push shove is not in the cards....... put some motor oil down the intake and whip the engine over to spread it around. A cup full or two will do. That builds up compression. And maybe a second of spray into the snorkel before the afm prior to starting the car.
