where should i get my parts?
I'm going to start my 5 spd swap because the auto tranny sucks so bad. I searched on google for the tranny but none of these sites seem legit. So if I could get some input from the 7 club on where to get parts that would be greeeeeat.

I would try to buy off of someone through this site just for reliability of the transmission a lot of people get rid of their NA tranny for turbo swaps. But if you aren't having any luck I got a just fine transmission from someone parting out on Craigslist, you could also try junkyards.

You can find trannies on Craigslist, but they usually end up looking pretty rough. Best bet is to check out the trannies from southern Asia, especially Thailand. Google for Thai Tranny for more info.
That being said, for a swap like this, you'll probably want a complete car... Either a part out or a scrapyard. If you start ordering parts from the store or the dealer, you'll end up nickel and dimed for every little bracket and fastener. Like the pedal assembly, it comes as about twenty to thirty different orderable parts.
Plus, with the donor vehicle, you can see how it all goes together and take measurements. IIRC, you'll have to modify a bracket for the transmission mount/crossmember.
For your clutch and flywheel, you're in luck... Since you have an automatic, you have a counterweight and flexplate on your engine rather than a typical flywheel. This will allow you to run an aftermarket light flywheel if you so choose. Otherwise, the counterweight can be sold for a little cash.
