where should the air pump lines be blocked?

my air pump has already been disconnected, but it was not removed and the lines where never blocked..

So i want to block the lines off and removed the system.. to free up some room and some weight...

So anyway, from the filter there is the line that goes to the pump.. that needs to be blocked at the air box.. right?

and the other way, the air pump has a line that goes into this "thing" that is bolted onto the intake manifold.. what exactly is that.. and should i block the lines there or can i keep going, can that be removed too..?

from what i have read the air pump sends air back to the Cat, so that is going to be removed soon..

the line from the pump to the air box will need to be blocked off at the box.

best way is to ditch the box and get an intake

the other line you should stick a small filter on it untill you remove the ACV (air control vavle) which is where the air pump pumps too. the ACV then sends it to the cat sometimes.

Just pull the acv off too. You can get a block off plate from mazdatrix or make one out of 1/8in thick aluminum. Also block off the split air pipe (next to the acv) that goes to the cat. It doesnt need to be blocked, but looks better. W/o the air pump its an empty hole.

On the air pump, there is a line that runs down under the passanger headlight. There is a black cylinder down there, its a bitch to remove but its dead weight (does nothing w/o the air pump). I took 10 minutes to take it out.

Oh and cap all the vacuum nipples left open after removing this stuff. Also cap the empty hole on the air box.
