Where to purchase used j-spec motors?

Does anyone know any place that has any used jspec T2 motors in stock? Ive tried emailing several places that ive found online, and they all are an average of about 900 bucks for a motor with a 6k mile/6 month warranty, BUT.. no one has anything in stock. Does anyone know any places that sell good motors with warranty, and has them in stock? I really need toget my car running again. Any help is appreciated. thanks!

Check out nippon-motors, was there not to long ago, they had one 13bt and a few 13b-re. They seem like really great people, on site compression test, with on site starting. warrenty is 30 days for a turbo rotary I believe.

any junk yard in japan. don't buy a junk yard motor. Call Kevin landers at Rotary Resurrection and have him build you the motor you want for the same price as a 'junk spec" motor that has been sitting for years.

i dont want to send a core out, i want to keep my low compression motor, and have it built within the next few months, which is the reason i want to just buy a used engine.

How do you test the compression on those engines?

Not to flame you, but that's what they told me when I purchased mine; only to receive a 0 compression on the rear rotor + plus coolant on it

yeah you won't find 2 many s4 jspecs in running condition. Hopefully you will get a good core. Its all up to chance. And Kevin can build you a motor without a core. You will just pay alittle more. Just don't be heart broken when you buy a motor from a junk yard shipped over here on a cargo ship and expect it to run like new.

Also does it work out cheaper to rebuild yourself or is it just more fun that way?

we move a lot of rotaries (20+ a month) and we test them on a stand with a tranny and a starter hooked up we use with a mazda comp. tester and another comp tester just to make sure. A lot of places don't even test there motors we are a rotary shop so we know what we are doing with them- chris
