Where to purchase OEM Mazda paint?

I'm really new to the paint thing, my friend just said locate the paint and I just have to buy the materials, then we can begin the fixing and painting.

I want to paint my car the OEM Crystal White, is it a mixture of two different paints or is it a color of its own? Does anybody have the paint code(s)? Sorry if I didn't search, I type in Crystal white and just find a bunch of codes of UC or something like that. That doesn't come up on google.

hey ryu, did you try going to the dealership and ask them if they can tell you? I think you can take your VIN and they'll tell you what color code you have and what color it is. I think they would also carry the color too. but if not, im sure you can get it somwhere... but Mazda would know.

The car is black, I'm doing a full body repaint.

Well, you can't use "stock" paint... it is physically impossible for anyone to match the factory paintint technique after it leaves the factory... Any paint that you buy, even straight from MAzda, will be chemically different than the paint that came stock.

But you don;t really care about getting the stock paint, you care about getting the stock colour... soo.....

What you do is go to your favourite paint supply store, tell them you want Mazda Crystal White, Paint code UC. They will mix it for you. Make sure you buy a chemically-matched primer and clearcoat to go along with it.

With the history of paint failures on FC's, I usually strip to bare metal. Most aftermarket paint manufacturer's require this for their warranties to be effective.

Lastly, painting a complete car is a very large job... its not nearly as simple as just spraying the paint on.

My buddy knows what he is doing, I trust him enough. I'll try the paint store then.

If he knew what he was doing, why did he not jst tell you to head to a paint supplier?

Any paint supplier could have mixed the colour for you had you simply told them you wanted Mazda Crystal White.
