where the heck do you get this? (brake part)
ok, i need to get these "guide plates" for a front 4 piston caliper, as shown below (piece number 9).
i ordered a brake hardware kit from NAPA, but it didn't include them.
i looked up the part # in the 86-88 fiche catalog (it's nowhere to be seen in the S5 fiche), but it looks like it only lists it as part of the brake pads.
where do i get this (as either part of a kit or seperately)? does anyone have an individual Mazda part number?
thanks

Rebuilding the 7
Junk/Salvage Yard. Thats about it. Did you loose yours or are you upgrading to the 4 piston calipers? If I was in the US right now instead of being stuck in this hell hole, Iraq, I could send you a set. To bad I'm here. Good luck with finding those.

to answer some of the comments,
- a junkyard is not really an option around here, at least nothing with a salvagable 4 pot caliper within a days drive probably. thanks rotarymarine for the offer
- limbar85: i know you have installed these calipers before, so you are saying you didn't need these at all? they most likely serve some purpose, possibly ensuring the pads stay in the proper position?
anyways, 2 of you have said they aren't needed, maybe you are right.
i am putting all 4 rebuilt TII calipers on my S5 base. i purchased one caliper that was "semi-loaded" and the other that was "bare". the semi-loaded one came with these guide plates...

hopefully this thread will be helpful to people looking for 4 piston brake parts.
all diagrams located in the Mazda parts Fiches, which can be downloaded here:

Excellent, thank you very much. I had looked into this "brake parts kit" before at my local NAPA but they couldn't tell me what was in it. I'm going in tomorrow to order one.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
