Where is a good place to buy a new or rebult engine?

Im planning on buying a 2nd generation RX-7, im planning on just buying a cheap one, taking the engine out and dropping a new or rebuilt one in there so i know i have a good one to work with. What are some places that rebuilds or sells new ones. And do you think this is a good idea.
