Put it where I put mine. In a drawer in the garage. You don't need a turbo timer on cars with water-cooler turbos. The cores run far cooler than on old turbos so the problems they had with burning the oil in the bearings on shutdown (the reason turbo timers were invented) does not happen unless you turn the engine off straight after driving the car very hard. Driving the last mie or so without using lots of boost is all you need to do.

you could try and make a custom holder right above or below your radio/cd player....or mold it into where the ash try is....your could also mount it to the right of your stearing wheel like under it i mean.....sorry ran out of idea's and i dont have any pics

Gotta agree with Jason... waste of money and time as well as clutters the interior.

No need of a Turbo timer on a FC.

Most people who really want to use turbo timers are under the false impression that they are necessary, thank to the marketing of those who make money from them. This forum is about sharing this kind of info, so that other people reading the thread can make more informed decisions.

It's just a turbo timer; it's not rocket science. Stick it where ever it fits. It will work equally well whever it is so it really doesn't matter.

"i dont like to use gadgets ,,,,,,,, outside the bedroom ,,,,,,,,,, awwww thankyou!!" i bought one under the pretense that it will save your turbo from boiling itself. from what other people have said here in this post i can understand why you wouldnt need one , but i like having mine ..

run the wiring up the steering column and mount the actual unit up against the plexiglass/plastic on the lower right corner of your dash where all your guages are. To do this you'll need to drill out the lower right part of the black plastic frame that surrounds the dash guages. Get some double sided tape, stick it on the bottom and you're done.

Only thing is that the blitz TT are very very small. They have the actual brain separate from the moniter unit. I was supposed to get it in black to help blend in but they ordered the wrong one for me.

BTW mine TT has many more functions that just a timer. It can record lap times, doubles as a boost gauge, and some other functions I dont remember.

The main reason i got mine is for the volt meter, the turbotiming part thats just a bonus, I knew our Fc's dont need a turbo timer because they're water cooled turbo before I bought the gauge, I bought it for the volt meter part. Plus its orange back lit so it matches very well with the fc color scheme.

Buying a voltmeter would've been a lot cheaper.

I think you've just hit the whole turbo timer thing on the head. Some people want "cool"-looking gadgets in there car and others want to look "cool" by walking away from their still-running car. I actually had someone admit that to me once...

I like it cause my Turbo isn't water cooled. but I don't have a "greddy" turbo timer mine runs off of my security system.

Yeah, older turbos still need them. I had a full-auto Levoc timer on my Cosmo because the 12AT's didn't have a water-cooled turbo.

I'd much rather have a water-cooled turbo thant a turbo timer though...

Not if you've got an expensive set of guages that you want to match.

You can install a turbo timer on an NA if you come by one cheap.
After running 90 MPH in 90% humidity with the AC on, an NA will appreciate a cool down.
