ok looks like nether post worked, I have a 86 with just the indash and strut tower speakers. I got the door panels out of a 90 that has the lower door speakers *not the ones near the arm rest but the ones at the end of the pockit runing along the bottem of the door* but there is no place to mount the speakers. there is a depreshion where it would go but no cut out and there is no place to screw in the speaker. do i need new doors to use this location??

Man this was covered earlier this week... doesn't anyone search?

as far as Mr Eccentric... who knows without the year.

As far as Nillahcaz, the 86 and 87 do not have holes in the lower front location. If you want speakers there you need to mount an aluminum panel and cut the sheet metal to fit. Some 88 models will have the speaker holes and some won't as Mazda started phasing in the lower speaker hole Mid 88. But it was not unusual to find a drivers door having the hole in 88, but not the passengers door and visa versa.
