Recently picked up an '86 fc and in cleaning up the electrical nightmare the PO left, I found the item in the attached pictures just hanging about. It is on the drivers side of the engine, and is attached to a single wire that leads to the original harness loom. The metal tab has scuff marks on it suggesting it was screwed in somewhere. With the size of the metal tab and no kind of electrical protection, I am leaning toward the idea that it just could be attached to a ground. Any ideas?
