Theres a plug on the side of the transmission its on right side. Pump it full of gear oil 75W90 I believe until it comes out of the fill hole or until it reaches the top and you can touch it with your pinky. Its a big plug I think 21 mm I can't quite remember.

Your Tranny can't be "dry" BTW. Unless you have a massive leak from the tail shaft end seal or the input shaft seal.

Now If you had a massive leak from your input shaft seal you would definitely notice the clutch slipping very bad and you would need a replacement.

Sounds funny like pinging, and 2nd is hard to shift into until the car warms up. So Thought maybe needed some gear oil. Also i took the shifter cover off and when i drive a little gear lube comes out by the ball where the shifter is.

Well if it only does it into 2nd then its definitely a tranny problem. You can try Lucas transmission additive or you could just try going with a high quality gear oil like Royal Purple.

When the cars were new, the transmissions wouldn't shift into 2nd until the gear oil warmed up. Mazda, in their infamous wisdom was telling the dealers to use ATF, but I switched over to Redline which was better.

Um, TII tranny's are in TII's, NA tranny's are in NA's. So, you can pretty much answer your own question.

And, here is link to a reference you should use for any more questions like the ones you've been asking:

I've dropped the transmission by myself. I had the help of my jack but i made it happen. Then again my engine was removed so yeah hahahaha. As for gear oil I have used Royal Purple 75w-90 before its great. I have that on my differential as well.

Gab you make it sound so easy lol. The only thing after I got it in and installed to the engine Was Drive shaft. I still have the N/A Rear end in the car.
Ok I'll tell you what your look to get into with this drivetrain swap. A TII Trans, A TII Flywheel, A TII Clutch, TII Starter, TII Slave Cylinder and Hose and a Drive shaft that is if you go TII to N/a from Mazdatrix. If you don't have that drive shaft you have to get the Whole TII Rear end, Diff and Axles.
My swap costed me a little under $550.00 and a car being down for over a month!!! So are you sure your ready for that swap???

I just replaced my trans fluid with Eneos 75W-90. Shifts a lot smoother.
So I removed the shifter to replace the nylon ring the shifter pivot ball sits on and some tard filled the top with fluid! It was black and full of plastic from the prior seating ring. Had to use a pump and get it out. Some peoples kids.

I just did a tranny swap in my FB by myself with the help of my jack and a wood plank. Really not that hard, just a pain in the ***. I thought the alignment would be harder, but I just grabbed the transmission mount (as I lay on my back) and pulled up while wiggling. Lined up enough so that the bolts could catch. I had to swap the S4 tail as it was an S5 TII tranny and my car is a FB whose tranny mounts line up almost perfect with the S4 tail, but will not work at all with the S5.

+1 for RP. I use their 50/50 ATF/Gear Oil mix. This comes premixed and is sold at Pepboys $18.99/qrt. You will need three.

Im doing a clutch in my 88 vert right now and it can be easily done by yourself with a jack and a good wooden block. If your not that mechanically inclined then you might want to get a friend, but these trannys are really not heavy at all, which makes working on a 7 all the more fun. haha oh dont forget to take of that annoying bleed screw for the clutch pedal, trust me it will save you alot more time and wiggle room
