Those 2 little hoses that comes off the stock intercooler on the top left corner, where do the go to? Just curious, cause I wanna plug those up and see if that makes any difference.

1 goes to the AWS solenoid sitting ontop of your intake manifold, the other one goes to the ait bypass solenoid, sitting behind the intake manifold..
You can block both of them off and unplugg the solenoids.. they won't do anything for you if you are planning on blocking them off for performance reasons..
The AWS is for the 3000 rpm start up (accelerated warmup solenoid) .. if you disconnect it, you will no longer have the 3000 rpm start up ..
The air bypass solenoid is used mainly for your powersteering.. it bypasses air to increase idle when you turn your steeringwheel which activated the power steering switch .. It's also used in the hot start system.. activating shortly during hot starts .. I would suggest leaving that connected..

Thanks Chris! Would you also know HOW the air bypass solenoid valve works with the HOT Start system? I'm puzzled as to what it does exactly regarding that.

Based on the water thermo sensor (hot engine) and intake air sensor (hot day), the CPU will activate this valve when the engine is started for 50 seconds. Net effect: increase in idle of 100 rpm. Pretty spiffy, eh?
Oh yeah, by the way - the correct names on these valves is as follows. The one on top is called the Air Bypass Solenoid Valve, the one in the back that the above refers to is the Air Supply Valve (the AWS valve was added in '89 to TII's). As per Haynes and the Factory Manual. Just trying to clarify MazdaSpeak here to avoid confusion
