NC where did this power come from in my 91 N/A?

so today i was doing just a little bit of clean up and small work on my 91 N/A, i replaced my ignition wires to NGK 8mm wires, replaced my belts, and ran some injector cleaner through my engine. when i drove right after that it seemed like i had more horsepower or somthing. it would accelerate much faster and just not stop pulling. im guessing that i had some clogged up injectors or somthing but any ideas welcome. maby if i can figure out what it is i can go through and intentialy clean or fix it so i can squeeze some more juice out of my 91 N/A.

thanks

I would say clean the actuators, but if it is still pulling (even a bit harder) after 35-3800 rpm then those seem to be working just fine. Probably just the good ol' tune up that made way for some extra ponies

If you really want to stomp all over them and have to do something NOW, get an RB header and pre cat.

If you allready have them start saving up to go turbo.

NEVER EVER cheap out on coilovers. If you want good but relatively cheap coilovers, use Ksport's. They are quality coilovers and will be durable enough to last a while being daily driven. I've got a buddy with the kontrol pro system on his 240, and they feel great. Not too stiff, and not too soft. These can be adjusted, but with how he has them, they're perfect.

I know how it is being unemployed... Once you get a job, look into some Tokico HP's. They're not coilovers, but they're pretty decent shocks for the price. I love how mine ride with my Tein S-tech springs. The springs are EXTREMELY close to the tires, so this set-up may not work for everyone.

my guess is that the ignition leads where duds on the leading side,, changing them out has restored the ignition some 15 degrees more advanced than running on trailing alone
-and so you have more power

if the trailing side was dud most would not even notice the difference when it was restored
meanwhile restoring a faulty leading ignition makes an obvious improvement

ya iv look around abit and noticed that alot of people like the Ksport setup. what about ISC coilovers? they are around the same price and seem to have good build quailty but havnt heard of anyone using them on their 7.

look into upgrading air filter or even going intake, can be done on a budget... and than look into water injection cleaning, that is really cheap/or free if you use filtered tap water.

You'll need a friend, 1-2' of vacuum line, and a container of water. You sit in the car and hold the RPMs at ~3K they put the long vac line into the container and the other end onto one of the nipples.
Then it'll smoke like mad. Use about a gallon of water. After the water's exhausted, restore the original vac connection and wait for the exhaust to clear up before shutting down.

I wish my learning curve was a bit steeper than it actually is lol. I know a lot of things, but good jesus my common sense level is just dragging through the dirt sometimes.

I'm cool just giving the guy ****.... Not knowing the difference between leading and trailing is like not knowing where the blinker fluid goes. LOL

I remember when I was a newb. All I did was research on here trying to learn about other peoples issues so that when I had one I would have a clue. The "search" button is your friend remember?
