Where can I go to look at car colors?

Where can I go to look at car colors?
You know how you can go to a hardware store, and look at a shitload of little pieces of paper with hundreds of different colors on them? Do auto paint shops do this? Is there a website like this?

I have been to a few paint shops that had metal paint pallets up, but its not teh same as it will be different on an entire car vs a 6"x6" piece of metal. If you see a color on the wall or book that you like from at body shop, ask if you can speak with a customer that has had that paint.
I believe PPG and DUpont both have color charts, not sure if they have them online or not.
