Question Where can I get silicone joints for custom intake

I thinking of piping my intake infront of my radiator, and I was wondering where could I get the needed silicone joints/clamps to make it happen. I've tried local auto parts stores, but nothing. Does anyone know a place where I can probably get these parts?

Yo,

Try Turbonetics:

http://www.turboneticsinc.com/catalog/silicone.html

They make connectors, hump hoses, etc.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, RarestRX. But I was hoping that I could find like a chain store that might have them. Do you think Home Depot or places like that might have them?

Yo,

Well, if it was me, I'd bite the bullet and get the good stuff. I'm sure you can possible find some clear PVC or rubber hose connectors at a plumbing place, or some such.

Let us know if you find anything local!

Unless you absolutely have to have pretty colours, there are cheaper alternatives than silicone. Go to a place that specialises in hydraulic and pneumatic supplies and tell them what you want. You can get high quality rubber hosing that will be fine with turbo temps. Buy a length and cut it into the sections you need. They'll sell clamps too.

Silicone is over rated IMHO.

Just make sure whatever you get is good for an automotive application.

I think what NZ may have been speaking of is Nitrile. They're usually much thicker than their silicone counterparts. I had a 3" hump that was abnormally stout. It may have been intended for the heavy truck industry.

My list of online vendors can be found in this thread.

I've no idea what it was called, but the stuff I bought was no thicker than silicone hose (3-4mm wall). I was a while ago but I remember its temp and pressure specs being more than adequate for my needs.
