Anyone know of a similar cowl induction hood that's less grotesque? It would be nice if all that hot air under the hood had somewhere to go.

I was considering doin a setup like that but was worried about hot air from the engine bay distorting driving visibility... Anyways, that cowl looks soooo familiar to me. Mebbe it's an orginal rx7 hood scoop installed backwards, cut and glassed to shape? ~rich

I was thinking the same thing, although I don't have a TII and am not very familiar with them.

If someone has the parts and the time, I guess that would be an easy way to go....

or I can make you one right here in USA for eleventy gazillion dollars.

Very nice, but still a bit too big. Then again, if my engine bay looked like that I'd want to show it off too.

Uh, NO.
Unless your engine bay is getting significantly above 300F, this is just insignificant.

If you are bothered by all the heat waves, your motor is very dead by now.

I guess you're right RETed, any heat would possibly be noticible at low speeds anyways. Course what if you blew a seal or coolant at higher speeds? If there's smoke coming from the engine bay it'll blow right out that induction cowl onto the windshield. Regardless, I'm doing something completely different.

There's a company here in the states that has a CF knockoff of the Knight Sports hood. I think Vipers had it on his car....or maybe it was 13B4me...i can't remember....

If you're worried about blowing the engine up at higher speeds, you shouldn't be owning one in the first place.

Yup, i've been planning on buying it for the FC and moulding it into a fiberglass hood unless Shine Auto actually starts pumping out their DMax replicas.
