Talking Going to buy TII (need help)

Hi,

im new on the board and am from Germany, but a proud dutch . I will be moving to the US in a couple of weeks and I want to have a FC TII
Lancaster County, PA. If anyone is around, thatd be sweet MY english is okay... its not perfect lol...
I currently drive a Honda Civic Type R. Lightly modded. No RICE ANYWHERE ON THE CAR (to make that clear )
see here: https://www.rx7club.com/lounge-192/hi-new-here-germany-503891/

I have found a TII. Its a 10th anniversary and im such a noob i dont know wether the car has 180hp or 200hp.
When I go to look at the car, what things do i need to take a look at to make sure the car is alright? Im not sure how many miles are on the car right now but it should be somewhere at about 130k and he wants 2000-2500$ for it...
Also its in NY and the car is from GA.
Im not sure where to look for rust or anything. Please help me out on this one. Basically anything that needs to be done. Where are the major problem areas?
First things i want to do is change all the fluids and and update the suspension. What do I need to look for here? Also will be updating the interior.
Any kits for suspension bushings or anything, like polyurethane complete kits?
Pics of car: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/xkalox...RgW3DBEHbT392R
thread about the car i found: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=480695

What are the differences in the 180HP version and 200HP version. I searched (of course), but only came out to figure that there is a s4 and s5 and some stuff about thermodynamics.... i used several terms, but i dont know what terms to really look for since im a noob, please dont flame or get angry.

I am a definite noob when it comes to rotaries. So are there any Rotary people in NJ/PA or something i could drive to? Id be in Lancaster, PA.

Yes it will be modded of course. Will it be driftet? not necessarily. Its more of a fun car and I am hoping to attend lots of track days and enjoy AutoX
It will be modded nicely. Nothing out of the ordinary. Nice and balanced like my Type R. It didnt have coils or anything, but I did well and more HP Civic and with better suspension couldnt keep up on the track, but were faster on the Autobahn.
I am looking for (and yes i searched) for a single exit exhaust that is not too loud. N1 style is preferred. I have heard many people saying rotaries and exhausts are massively loud, but I dont really have experience with it. I just heard one FD with 3 in from turbo and it was loud... really loud lol... but then again the engine wasnt running too smooth.

There are probably gonna come lots questions from me in this thread and later. I hope its all right being a complete noob to the car. Why I like it or even want one?? Im gonna be honest. Initial D.

-the car has 200hp
-sounds like a decent price.....look for rust on the sunroof (and around it), infront of both rear wheels, on the rocker panels and the heels of the fenders.
-fluid wise - change everything, you can never be SURE when the last guy did.
- when you start the car (it must be cold, no hot starts to check for this) look in the coolant overflow bottle and make sure that no coolant is PUMPING out...a little drip is OK.....but if its pouring out into the bottle - its got a blown coolant seal.
-suspension wise...good idea to freshen that up, it gets tired whether its been stored ofr beaten...I would recommend tokico blues for the street.
-energy suspension bushings
-any single exit exhaust...well any relatively free flowign exhaust....on a rotary will be "loud" by regualr car standards....just something you've gotta deal with....one thing to do would be put on a silencer - but then you just paid for a free flowing exhaust - so why jam a plug up its ***?

edit: the 10th AE has 10th AE badges...first to have mouldings painted body colour.....and a number telling which of the 1500 it was.......aside from that, I can't remember

Thank you very much. Any exhaust will be loud... My civic was loud too, or at least to most peoples standards here in Germany. We have the strictest laws on tuning anywhere.
So I dont really have much to compare the sound with. Ill just have to deal with it like you said
I will check for the rust and that overlfow bottle. I read a bit yesterday and today such as the faqs and the links in them. Kinda too much to remember in one day hehe.

what??? 200hp? 10th AE have 182 or 183 which ever its the same engine as a S4... the 10thAE is heavier because it has more electronics, I'd personally get a regular Turbo II save on the weight, just don't have that white paint and white wheels and security system for the sunroof ( i believe). I would try and get a compression test done to the car, ask the owner to do it, because if he gets a buyer who knows anything about rotarys they're going to ask the same question. You may be already looking at a vehicle thats going to need a rebuild sooner than you think, make sure the turbo still spools nicely, does he have any mods done to the car? Check for white smoke upon start up, vacuum hoses get hold on these car, and turn brittle due to heat, so if he hasn't replaced them i would do it yourself either with rubber again or silicone. Personally i would replace them with silicone they will last alot longer, whenever you buy a turbo rotary with that type of milage on a stock motor most of the time you are looking at a rebuild. But like i said earlier get a compression test and see what your looking at.

No I was just referring, that I dont care for electronic stuff or anything. color isnt too important although white would be cool.
But I cant find too many FCs and TII at that. Of course id love a 89+ since they have 200HP, but know jack if it is any better.
How much heavier is it?
