where can i buy this?

A clutch switch. My car just clicks when i try to start it, that is until i pump the pedal a couple of times. yes i checked the search and the starter.

Hey this doesn't sound like it's the switch but maybe the starter solenoid, check it out.

if it was the soleniod the starter would spin but not crank (unless starter technology is different from an 88 camaro). sounds like a switch. you could get one from someone on here. it would be cheaper, or just cut it out of the circut

try cleaning it, the switch, I am guessing it is a dealer part, if you end up going to the dealer ask for the mazda club discount,

ill try cleaning the switch today. its not the starter because it just clicks when i push the pedal in.okay how would i bypass this thing?

the starter just clicks? sounds like your starter brushes are worn and the starter needs to be rebuilt or replaced.

well it also could be a bad connection at the battery terminals or the ground wire at the starter as well but having the starter tested would be a good place to start.

I actually just had the same problem...if you look behind your trailing I belive it is....set of coils..cant remeber but you will see a small black box with a connecter going into it...take that off...that is a relay that runs between your ignition and starter......check it see if it is burned or gone bad.

I just had a similar problem with my car also. It turned out to be a voltage issue caused by bad battery terminals and this gay car alarm the previous owner had installed.
