Where are all the coolent lines around the Intake Manifold?

Well, i got an 87 GXL and it seems to have a serious coolent leak, it dosent get really bad untill i drive it hard(but leaks enought that a 15 mile trip will activate the Coolent light at a dead stop) I put the car on a rack and it apeared that the coolent was comming from the rear of the engine, there was coolent on the trans bellhousing. but i also saw some green coolent above the spark plug side of the engine. Does anyone have a good diagram of the Intake manifold apart/and showing the coolent lines to it? all i know is there is one that goes to the BAC valve and it didnt seem to be leaking. is it likely that the flywheel could have thrown coolent from the rear freeze plugs? also where could i go to get a coolent pressure tester?
Thanks,
Tim

the line from the BAC goues to the UIM / throttle Body...
then goes trough the body...
and then there is a very short line from the underside of the throttlebody to the top of the rear (or middle ??? don't know exactly now...) iron...

this line was also broken on my seven and i also lost the same amount of coolant like you... and the coolant was at the bellhousing and where the oil-filter meets the iron (on a bracket)

check this line, it regulary fails i think

Yeah sounds like either the rear housing to throttle body, engine to heater. I know those two are tucked away well in the rear of the engine bay.

You can get them here: http://www.mazdatrix.com/bhose2.htm

Good luck

ok, where are these lines? one on the drivers side and one under the TB? and what about a Pressure Tester? where can i get a good one?
now looking at it, there is a considerable amount of Oil/Coolent above the sparkplug area... so far what i could see is that the hose there is fine. but i couldnt see it all. while im at it, where can i get a gasket for the oil filter/engine block mating surface?

I think I'm having the same problem as you man. I have no idea where it's coming from really but mine looks like it is right under the intake. Is there a line that runs through there?

tell me what you find, and good luck.

note, i checked it after running the thing for alittle, it seemed alittle moist on the end of the TB/Rear Housing Hose. I tugged at it and heard alittle dripping, so i think that was it. Just ordered a new one from mazdatrix, so well see... im 70 Percent sure its that. BTW, before i found this hose, I reved the car and it splatterd on the fire wall, splatered some out of the drivers side of the car, smoked under the intake mani and leaked down the bellhousing. Sound like it?

ok, looked at it somemore and now im 90% Sure its that hose. I took the secondary(upper) rad filler cap off and blew through it with my mouth(didnt taste to good) and wiggled the hose in question. wiggled it one way and i heard air and coolent blow through it. another way and it stopped. Luckly I ordered oneday shipping and the part will be here tomarow(assuming that mazdatrix is good on there word) But the question i have is... How in the hell do i get to that SOB??? i can bearly touch the lower end of the hose(fat hands and fat ***...lol) Held on by a vacume clamp right?

ok, friend of mine told me to follow the coolent lines on the BAC to the tb, and then very close to it is a hose similar to it on the tb, thats the line to the rear housing. Its a PITA just to reach, and ive got to find a way to pull it and put it on today...

woot.......

also this is the case for the NA S4, the turbo might be a different story.
