s5 fog light issues

ok so ive searched for my problem for about 3 days now and havent found any helpful info, so heres my problem
my fog lights havent worked since i bought the car, so as of a couple days ago ive been trying to get them to work. Now i took the bulbs out and tested them and they are fine. So what else could be wrong? i checked the switch in the car and it was connected, but is there anyway to test the actual switch? any other ideas of what could be wrong. any help is apperciated.
oh and sorry if this has already been covered, but i couldnt find it.
thanks
Nick

I agree, test the fuse, if not you can try testing the continuity of the switch to make sure it's ok, after that start chasing the wiring to see if there's a short or open circuit that's not supposed to be there. If nothing works you can always get rid of them for better brake cooling.

I had the same problem. I tested the fuse/lights and they were ok. So, I checked the continuity of the wiring to the switch inside and nothing. I just picked up some wiring, connectors and a switch and ran my own wiring and mount a switch under the dash. Of course, now they're completely independent of the other lights.

If you want to go even easier, just go to Autozone and pick up one of those foglight wiring kits. I think they're like $15.
