Wheels and rotors

Looking for new wheels for my 90 vert. Im running 205/55s on 16x7s now, I want to keep that size on front but put 225s in back on 16x8.5s. I saw in a catalog, Weld racing forged, listed 17s at ELEVEN lbs each, I imagine 16s would be about the same. Seeking opinions: Are 11 lb wheels, forged or not gonna stand up to real roads and potholes? Or should I look for some 14-15 pounders for durability reasons? They are like $300 a piece, which is o.k. as long as I don.t have to buy them twice!

Are the two pice rotors with allow centers worth the extra money, as far as weight reduction is concerned?

11lb rims, no heat shields, alloy hat rotors= pretty low unsprung weight= pretty tasty!

Thanks!
