Wheel Studs-- Getting the rear brake rotor off??

Any advice on getting the rear rotor off to swap out a broken wheel stud?

I've got the caliper off, and the two screws undone, but the gigantic "Lock Nut" in the center is vexing me something awful. My FSM implies that center lock nut needs to come off to get the rotor off (in the "Rear Brake Removal and Installation" section), but even after cutting/chiselling out the crimped portion, and hammering on an adjustable wrench attach to the nut, I'm not getting anywhere. I can't get a good hold of the rotor to hold it still to try a cheater-bar on the wrench.

I have a feeling this would be much easier if I had a Impact Wrench Socket big enough to fit that nut.

How did you guys do it?

Many thanks!

axle nut is 32mm. i used a 4-point lug wrench inbetween 3 of the lugs and the ground to hold it place, and a fatty breaker bar to pull the nut. anyway did you try inserting one of the screws in the 3rd hole in the rotor to pop it off? you don't need to remove the axle nut to get the rotor off.
