well the stock is 40mm so the difference will be very very small. but i would like to get the wheel out a little towards the fender.

a 10 mm spacer would set it out nicely. The stock +40 mm is still far too sunken in. a 10 mm spacer will decrease your positive offset to +32 which will be perfect IMO.

BTW...you want some nice hubcentric spacers, not the crappy Pep-Boys spacers. Preferably get the spacers that bolt to your hub, and have their own set of studs. If you don't get those, you will need longer studs to be safe. They can run about $200 a pair, but are well worth it.

will there be a risk of running 5mm spacers for a little bit? the bolts should be long enough for 5mm right?

ok. that makes me feel better. is the difference between hubcentric and non hubcentric a reduced shake or what? if its not hubcentric will it make a difference for time being till i get money for better spacers?

you will not see a difference with the 5mm...take a pen and look at the tip as it comes out of the housing..that is about 5mm on most pens...on the REAR you should be able to go with 15mm..25mm will require you to have the fenders taken in...you will not need anything up front! PERIOD..and wait till you have the money for the good stuff! you will be glad you did

It depends on the tire size!

A 205/40/17 is going to fit differently than 225/45/17.

I'm running 215/45/18's with a 45mm offset up front and the sides of the tires are almost flush with the front fender.

I am about 99% sure that you can go with 25mm...I had the same tire size on my 17's with a 40mm offset...then i put 18's on with a 35mm offset and 225's and tried 25mm spacers and no go..hmmmm...NO..iam now 100% sure ...since the tire is not as wide and the rim you have is a 42 offset the 25mm spacers will work..shoudl give you about 5 to 10 mm room to play with..215's can actually wary in width from company to company
