Wheel Question

I had my car jacked up today so I decided to check my bearings. I spun the passenger wheel and it spun freely and tried to pull it off to check movement and there was none. So I went to check the other side (drivers side) and the wheel would barely spin no matter how hard I tried to move it. I tried to pull it off and it wouldn't move. What does it mean, is it the bearing?

you might want to check out your brakes... it might just be a stuck caliper....

I took the wheel off and further inspected the problem. I noticed that the brake pad is constantly pressing against the rotor. I've never done anything with brakes and therefore have absolutely no idea how to adjust the caliper, but the way you say it, it seems like it is something that is not very hard to do. So how do you adjust this caliper?
