Wheel Power

Any interesting topic came up, when I was trying to explain to how N2O works, anyway it changed from that to other mods.

Anyway here it is: Does changing the differential gear ration increase RWHP? I had people claiming this the other night and was little curious...

Lowering the wheel diameter has the effect of more low end acceleration.. what that would translate to on a dyno, I couldnt say. I think that the readings would be the same..

NO, it does not increase RWHP...
It will, however, change WHEN the existing engine power gets applied to the ground, however...
ie, lower gear ratios= your power getting used up relatively slow, when a high gear ratio will use the same power up very quickly (for a given space, ie ¼-mile)
