wheel offset
I don't know for sure, but my guess is that with a 17X7.5 with an offset of 45mm, you're probably going to have interference with the springs/struts in front. 35 would be better. What do the rest of you think?
The stock offset is +40mm
I installed 17x7's with +35mm offset and 215x45-17's tires and there is no rubbing what so ever.
As for +45mm that would definitly bring the inner edge closer to the struts/springs.
With 235's the offset is more critical, I would check the tread width of various tires to see if the gain is worth the risk, the tire size that I choose was almost identical to the stock diameter so the speedo and odo didn't get screwed up
