Wheel hub assembly with wheel bearing question

Any way I can do this without a press?

All I wanted to do was change the studs in the rear to put in spacers in the rear...Now I have to remove the full wheel assembly...Is there any way I can just tap out the wheel hub, replace the studs and tap the wheel hub back in? Or do I really need a press? How can I gage when its sitting right in its place?

The studs are too long to put them in as it is.

I had to use a press when I did it... took like 10 tons.
