Wheel Bearing/Hub went pop

that was unexpected. The inside of the bearing looks like it threw all its grease. I'm hoping that the bearing can be rebuilt, and I don't have to throw a new hub in there . Anyone have a spare FR hub for a 90 Turbo?

Most likely there's no damage done, but carefully inspect your bearing. The only way to really know is to do an inspection. What it looks like to me is that your metal grease boot popped off, and allowed the grease to leave. No big deal (if caught early). Take off that nut you see in the center, and you can remove the hub. Do a VERY thorough inspection of the bearings, and check their condition. If they're good, then repack with new grease, and be sure to use a cap!
You can get the new bearings if needed/wanted from mazdatrix: http://www.mazdatrix.com/h86-92bearings.htm be sure to read their "Before buying wheel bearings, please read this FAQ" listed here: http://www.mazdatrix.com/faq/frontbrg.htm

The bearings are a bit of an involved process, but a dremel with a diamond bit, a hammer, and a punch make your life a lot easier Don't forget the brass bar or bearing press (prefereably) for convincing the new bearings to get into place.

it was really weird too, I heard a metalic clunk and I lost 70% of my braking. I know the front right caliper was sticky, but a wheel bearing orgy shouldn't have affected braking right? I inspected all of the brake lines and they are all on soild..... silly car.

Um.. did you see the way that the grease spread out after your cap went off? Have you inspected your pads/rotors for signs of grease? I'm guessing your one rotor got some on it, so bye-bye breaking on that side!

Wow, that gives me more motivation to go fix my whining rear bearing. I've done a bit of reasearch on the subject already and the rear ones aren't a terrible ordeal but will take you some time because you're screwing the entire rear hub assembly and have to be careful about how you press the new one in.

This thread has excellent pictures and step-by-step on the entire rear-end: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-gen-archive-72/brake-hub-job-finally-done-427035/

Don't purchase the bearings from Mazdatrix either, you can get them much cheaper from Victoria British ($40 compared to $75) or Checker Auto which has one for $44 but they didn't have the seal (VB sells that as well) which you'll definatly want to replace.
