Um, what ever is closeest and cheapest. I really think that for the most part, most gas stations market their fual addives as snake oil. Except for Techron, that is, from what I have heard. Please correct me if I am wrong!

its about 105 yen per liter 4 liters make a gallon, with the yen rate at 130 it makes it to much of a apin in the *** to figure out! LOL!
usually about 40 bucks to fill the tank not to bad for the quality of gas

Doesn't Japan use a rating system that is incompatible with north american standards? My understanding was that Japan's top gas was about the same as in the US, but had a higher number.

Thumbs up

I like Pioneer Gas. They're 0.3 cents cheaper, 93 Octane and they give you pioneer bucks. I used to be a Sunoco guy before, but then when I do the math, Pioneer sells their gas much cheaper for a 93 octane rating.

Thumbs up I'm a COSTCO gas fan

'cause it's most always the cheapest. Second choice, ARCO because it also is normally the cheapest. Of course, there is also Thrifty Gas. What ever happend to Flying A gasoline?

ARCO for me. They are always the cheapest around here, and they take cash right out at the pump =]

I use chevron 87. DO NOT USE ARCO!!!! that stuff is terrible and will tear up your engine, serious. I have had a personal bad experience. I built a new engine and used arco and had terrible detonation slow acceloration etc. the day i switched to a different gas it all stopped. I have heard other people complain too. Also watch teh costco stuff, they buy left over stuff from whoever and you could end up with arco there too. right now i am paying .99/gallon at chevron here in WA.

could someone pls clear the air on which octane level is best for non-turbo Rx-7 13Bs say a 1990?

I have read that 91 will not burn completely and leave residue behind inside which is bad for apex seals.
but what about knocking etc?

Non-turbo engines should run the lowest octane gas available unless you fiddle with the engine's timing.

I use QT. It's everywhere around here and cheap.
But there is a JET FUEL line that runs beneath the golf course I work at. Maybe I could tap into that and, well .....
