I have a 86 rx7 and i put in a s5 t2 motor and replaced the entire wiring on the car to s5 (main, engine, and rear wiring harness) to match the motor so i can use the ecu and all that great stuff. I connected the battery and when you open the door you hear a beeping noise, sounds like its comming from the cpu, when i put the key in the ignition and turn it to on the beeping noise changes to a different pitched beeping noise. the headlights and taillights come on, the hazards also work but thats about it, no blinkers, fan, nothing on the insterment panel, ive checked most the ground wires and everything seems to be pluged in, what can be the problem?

 

Check your fuses. Does your horn work? Could be a bad CPU.

 

i looked at all the fuses and they look fine, and yes the horn does work.

 

check the ground block on the shock tower next to the TRAILING coil pack for wear/tear. Clean the contacts with light sandpaper or contact cleaner. Many of the interior doo dads draw their ground off of this plug.
