Lightbulb Whats wrong with my car???

All of the sudden my car is acting funny when i get on the gas some what hard. It will have surges of low power or something so the car shakes and is slower. It happens in all the gears but 1st. And the higher the rpm's the more it does it. Also when i get off the freeway it idles rough for about 30 seconds, and after that it idles fine. does anyone know what this is?

Check compreshion, Timing, spark plugs and wires, Check coils, If you still got cats maybe cloged. Vacume leaks, posibly cold solder joints

thats all I can think of to cause it

i think the cats might be clogged, they are the original and they have a leak so i am going to replace them soon. the car is pretty new to me and have not had most of that stuff checked, maybe its time now.

Check that your connections on all applicable sensors aren't corroded. This was my problem. Mine was the Throttle sensor, it sounds like similar symptoms.

i think its my spark plugs. its been super rainy here, and my moms boyfriend told me he had the same problem on his old talon when it was rainy and humid. and he said he changed the plugs and wires and it was back to normal. but after that i will just get the injectors cleaned anyways since the cars an 87' it could probly use it.

Good choice. You will notice your car runing much bettor and smoother when you clean the injectors I mean hell there 17yrs old. Wile you have the UIM off to do that be sure to replace all the VAC lines and a good idea to replace the fule lines as well.

Yes allways. It potenchaly could be dangerus adding HP with a uncertain motor or car. You dont know what might brake or fail and leave u stranded or broke buying hte part or phisicly injur you.

Replace plugs, wires, All VAC lines, Coolant lines, Fule lines. 02 sensor, Air filter, Fule filter, inspect belts, clean injectors, change oil, coolant, gear box oil, rear end oil

Next Inspect and clean and replace as needed.
Exhoust, BAVC, 6pt, TPS, CAS, Brake system and pads, wheel barings, Inspect all the electrical connections and wires for coroshion and wear and replace as needed.
