What's this wire?
Hello Everyone,
I'm a new RX-7 owner, but I'm not new to working on cars. Usually I work on Mercedes and Volvos. My RX-7 is an '87 non-turbo. A guy I know had the car previously and had rebuilt the engine. He said that it was running hot and was having problems with the coolant circulating. He went through the engine and replaced all of the seals. After that he wasn't able to get the car started. I'm going to take my first attempt at it this weekend and see if it is getting spark and fuel.
My questions so far are: There's a yellow wire with a white stripe loose near the alternator. Any idea where this goes? There's no end on it, just a ripped off wire. My other question is about the vacuum lines on the intake near where it says 13B. One of the ports here is plugged off and I can't seem to find any vacuum lines laying loose under the intake. The port is right up near the top of the intake.
Thanks in advance.
Dave
