whats up with my idle
when you start the car but it is warm it will idle at about 1000rpm then if you hit the gas it will not come down from 1500rpm and the only way you can get it back down to 1000rpm is turn the car off. this is a na 86 i just took my intake manifold off because it had a vacuum leak and then i put it back on

i just fixed a vacuum leak now when you start the car and after it is warmed then i turned the car off and then started it back upand it will idle at about 1000rpm then you can rev it up then it will not idle under 1500 rpm unless you turn off the car

well.
youve modded the TB..
I have never done that, so im at a loss as to how its really broken, but you need to follow the factory service guide to set the idle and use that "set" wire and stuff.
also, check the TPS and check for a stuck throttle or cruise cable
neither should be very tight.

it idled ok when it had a vacuum leak and before it idled ok too with the other intake manifold it had and the tb was modded.I also checked the tps and the cables. the problem is that when you start the car up when it is warm it will idle at 1000rpm then go up to 1200rpm by it self and if you rev it it will not idle under 1500rpm unless you turn the car off

Thats probably what got him in this condition..
you need to adjust the idle and TPS and possible timing all together.
This will ensure proper operation.
ONLY DO THIS IF THE ENGINE IS UP TO TEMP.
otherwise youll have this problem all over again.
