well lets just say i just bought the car and the guy has a str8 pipe out like a go cart with no exhaust and sounds like MAJOR RICE! but i dont know if that does anything.... i live in FL and we dont have emissions here and if we do i dont think they really care i dont have a Cat or exhaust and the car is pretty loud when accelerated and it does smell realy bad i really dont know what it is......
its running rich. if you pot a high flow cat on it then the smell will go away, but its only because the cat is masking the problem. i dont know how to set mixture, i thought that was the computers job.

No no no try to find the problem before covering it up with a cat (and if u put a cat on an overly rich car then the cat will be all fucked up in a couple years so its not worth it). Is there any mods other then the exhaust? Also, is your car a turbo? If not then having no backpressure is bad as far as I know. Also your aux ports are closed unless they were wired open (if non-turbo). Is there bigger injectors or new fuel pump or some ****? I really can't think of anything that would cause a mostly stock car to run that rich.
No emmisions in florida, lucky ***'s
. It doesn't matter what you have (cats etc).

I doubt the aux port thing has anything to do with the smell - it does give a performance loss (like 20HP Ive read) though. If J-Rat is correct, and having a straight pipe makes it smell, then I guess buy a cat and muffler. It sounds like you need to check the BAC valve like runningdeer said. What does it idle at (RPMs) with no load (like in neutral with no AC)? Does it hold a steady idle? What RPM does it drop to when you turn the AC on? BTW I don't think that the AC issue and the smelling bad are related. I would check the BAC valve, and get a hi-flo cat and muffler and cut the straight pipe as needed lol. Good luck!

ok the car runs in neutral at like 900 to 1000 rpm with AC on and in gear will go down to like 700 rpm or a lil higher but the thing is it has a thing that ill accelerate it and jumps to like 4k and starts heading down itll go str8 to shutting off =/ but i dont know about this aux thing i guess id have to call the guy (the guy i bought it f rom) and check if he did the aux port thing but still i need to gain HP NOT LOSE IT!!! lol thats the only reason im intrested in finding out about this... would greatly appreciate help i really need to gain some HP on my car 13b N/A Motor with 130k miles on it if motor blows will get new one and put aftermarket parts from old one to new one.....

I would actually go with a Bonez cat, tons of people on here run them so they must be good for rotaries. Do a full tuneup (http://www.1300cc.com/howto/how2/general.htm) and report back. BTW about the idle thing, it really sounds like BAC valve...Check out this how-to on BAC Valve cleaning (doesn't look too hard, but I would do tune-up before BAC valve cleaning to see if it goes away): http://www.1300cc.com/howto/how2/bac.htm
BTW check out the howtos here: http://www.1300cc.com/how2.html they are awesome! Good luck!
