I have no interior lights when I open the door, I have no dashboard lights when my headlights are on, and I have no break lights.....is this all one problem or is this a big deal??

 

you mean no interior lights or running lights.. do the brake lights work when you actually hit the brakes? if not.. you have a problem b/c those are on different circuits.
if you just dont have any night lighting, then check the fuses.

 

I had the same problem and I found the answer in the FAQ section.

 

Your problems in order:

Blown room fuse,

Bad headlight switch and/or harness (you should have read the FAQ for FC sticky thread at the top of the 2nd gen tech section before posting this one)

Blown fuse or unplugged brake light switch or bad CPU (only a possibly a bad CPU if it is a 86-88- you didn't say what year- the 89 up do not run the brake lights through the CPU)
