Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. Bought my first RX7 last week and have already recieved a ton of info from this site. The new whip is a 1987 base model, 117k miles, no sun-roof, roll-up windows etc... $500. It looks, runs and drives better than one would expect for the price but it lays down a James Bond smoke screen (oil) at start up and above 4k RPM, so I'm guessing a rebuild is in order. I plan to keep it street legal but it will be used mostly for auto-x, and hopefully some track days.
