what's the thing that revs the car when it starts?
My car *used* to rev to 2500 or so RPM when I started it. However, starting a few days ago, it stopped doing that consistently. Now, it sometimes does that, but most of the time it stumbles at a low rpm - which is fine if I time the gas correctly. Being the dumbass I am, I gave it too much gas the other day and flooded the engine, and i'm scared of doing that again. Any ideas?
Also, any suggestions for a good / cheap guy /gal in Austin, TX to check out my car? It's idle is a little off (likes to idle at 1200 rpm) and it runs kinda rough, needs a tune-up I imagine.

mine used to, but for some reason doesn't now. It will always do it if the engine is somewhat warm, or if it is over 70*F outside.
I think it may be a solenoid on the rack.

It's a combination of the bac in conjunction with the air bypass solenoid and water temp switch at the bottom of the radiator. Make sure the bac plug is on and the water temp sw at the bottom of the radiator.

grounds? interesting.... one other oddity i've noticed is that my tach sits at 300 or so rpm when it's turned off. Is this indicative of anything? I just noticed this the other day...
