There is suppose to be a bag of tools for the spare tire and jack on the right hand side in the back behind a leather flap. I think that big opening in the back side is meant to hold the spare tire in the coupes, but for the vert it is just for storage since the spare tire and jack is behind the seats. I don't keep my spare tire in the car, but if I am going on a long trip that spare tire fits in that back storage area like it was meant to go there.

Not on a Vert. The tool bag sits in a compartment in front of the spare (inside the cabin under the rear cover) where the metal cover is held in place by a wing nut. The jack and jack handle mount the same place as the Coup.

So a jack is supposed to be secured in the wing nut clamp thats on the drivers side depression in the trunk ... and i guess a prop rod for it along the floor of the trunk held with one clip ?

Not a prop rod, the crank for the jack.
