Whats the stock weight of FC Seats?
Preferably, I want to know the weight for cloth seats.
I just picked up a pair of competition Sparco Sprint Seats and each of them weigh a mere 15lbs. Also, anyone have any regards on these seats?
But In Black.

Further, I've reduced my FC well over the 200lb mark.

BTW, the FIA homogolation is much more important than saving a few pounds.

FIA homologation means that you can run them in a racecar and pass tech inspection. Homologation is only given to seats that are safe for the occupant to be sitting in. I've never seen the test standards, but i know the seat has to sustain a pretty good set of beatings.
In street terms... I would trust that a seat deemed safe for racing is going to sustain a collision without folding you in half when you get hit.

If they are, they'll have a label on them stating the homologation # and the date of manufacture.
FIA requires all safety equipment to be replaced within certain timelines. Harnesses are between 3-5 years depending on class, and I'm not sure what seats are. (they base that on date of production)

How about doing that and adding to this thread. We know the weight of Cloth seats but what about leather?
Jimmy, how quick I was to overlook the side marking FIA # on each of the Seats.

Technical Reality: You will most likely die from a 16g 50mS impact.
Technical Result: The seat can take a lot more than you can.
Non-Technical Summary: You have no-joke race seats, while most of your local ricers have "sport" seats that they think are race seats.
