what's the rust hole on?

Could anybody help me identify what this rust hole is on? It's circled in red. Is that part of the frame holding much weight? ie. is it serious?

A red FC in AA. I'll be keeping a lookout. Probably should keep the shield in place as long as it does something. Enough heat under the hood as it is with these cars.

And SpikeD, LOL on the sig.

Yup. You should be careful. Today, the air pump belt broke and entangled the throttle cable or something (haven't fixed yet) and I was WOT all the way home after I got off I-94. I had someone crying in my car.

S4, right? I dunno about them, mine's a black S5. Lucy's throttle cable is on the backside of the UIM/TB. The AWS-crap linkage is on the front (as far as I can tell).

The engine roaring and revving until it bounced off the limiter no matter what you do...man even I might be crying.

The hole in the heat shield is not a big deal, but do not just remove the shield unless you want to cook all the rubber and wiring in that area. So in other words, don't just take off the shields.

Thanks Aaron. I won't. I wasn't going to. I just wanted to check it was on some frame structure.
